This is hands down the best book you'll find on marijuana horticulture. I think it's better than Jorge Cervantes' bible, and I own both. This book goes above and beyond. You'll even learn how to create your own strain with this book, it even goes as far as how to smoke marijuana and make homemade pipes.

I really like this book. If there was only one book I could buy on the subject, this is it. The book itself is college textbook size with almost 700 pages. I highly recommend it!

I first bought the Cannabis Handbook by Rosenthal, which was just ok.
This is certainly a MUCH better resource!!! The amount of information packed into this book is perfect for the first time grower. LST, Super Cropping, Tooping, ScROG??? THERE ARE ACTUAL GUIDES WITH PICTURES IN THIS BOOK!
Flowering? Trimming? YEP! Color photos of all of the steps.

I was a bit skeptical when purchasing this book due to some of the more critical reviews, but in hindsight I'm glad I did. The book did have some layout issues that I noticed that were noted in some of the negative reviews, but they didn't make the book unreadable. This review might get a little lengthy, but I read this book from cover to cover and want to give it a fair assessment. This review is for the 3rd edition.

Like most grow "bibles" on the market today, this book covers a ton of information. So much information in fact, that it can become contradictory when many different opinions on cultivation are introduced. Everyone does things a little bit different, so it's important to keep that in mind while reading this book. Completely green growers (pun intended) always want some kind of text that they can reference that has all the answers. In my opinion, such a text has never been compiled, and no amount of reading will really replace real experience and garden time.

Most of the info in this book can be found online, however I think it's a nicely bound book, contains nice glossy pictures, and conveys most of the info in a straightforward manner. It is physically a large book with 689 pages, softcover. I think this is a great book for new growers, however it reads like a textbook and you will kinda have to study it and mark relevant information to your situation. All the fundamentals are here, though fertilization gets confusing just like it does in all books it seems. Nothing really substitutes experience in this case unfortunately. Take some of the controversial info with a grain of salt (24/0 vs 18/6 lighting) and learn your own way of doing things, but this book is a great resource.

I recommend this book for those interested in how this stuff works and for those wanting to actually do it themselves. I wasn't disappointed at all, the book looks nice on my bookshelf and contains lots of useful info.

I love this book. I waited so long i ended up with the soft cover.. It is lighter weight and more flexible..perfect. This is my go to for how to correctly grow plants. I read through a couple and look for problems answered in this one. It also explains how to do things and what to expect in different situations. I have one successful Cotyledon with true leaves out of 5 successful germinated seeds. This state allows 4 "plants"" per household effective July 1st. it is decriminalized already. I am in a danger zone of inside growing or outside this late in the season. The book doesnt recommend my method of window light for this one but it made it when i regrettedly made errors " exposed to cold tap water and ac for a short time". This book explains errors and points out better ways.. I will always want this book. I like having an understanding as i explore growing and cooking with great plants.
